Elements India

The Borrower Shares Their Story:

Elements is a small private cooperative based in Kerala, in south-western India. Founded in 1999, it trades locally and internationally in raw materials that are always Fairtrade and organic certified.
The cooperative is a member of the Fair Trade Alliance Kerala (FTAK), which coordinates around 3,600 farmers across Kerala. FTAK's mission is to market local products in a fair and sustainable way. Elements is primarily responsible for the marketing and promotion of products supplied by farmers who are members of FTAK.
Founded in 2005, FTAK is now active in four districts of Kerala—Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod and Wayanad. It supports farmers by providing technical assistance, facilitating the marketing of their products, and ensuring they receive a fair price.
