LernCamping Moosbauer. Klaus Egger:

The Moosbauer campsite in Moritzing has existed since 1957. Today, my wife and I run the LernCamping together in its third generation, including a restaurant and a small grocery shop.
Why “LernCamping”? Because our guests have the opportunity to learn more about South Tyrol, its culture and its people. We have developed a concept that allows visitors to discover their holiday destination in a relaxed, entertaining and enjoyable way. The campsite features information boards, events, an educational sanitary facility and a communication pillar.
For example, while taking a shower, guests can learn about the legend of the witch of Lake Karersee or discover why three languages are spoken in South Tyrol. Our innovative LernCamping concept was also honoured with the ADAC Camping Caravaning Award.

The funded project

“Thanks to Ethical Banking financing, a solar energy system with a nominal capacity of 20 kW was installed. Due to the roof’s ideal angle, we are even able to achieve outputs of up to 35 kW. This allows us to generate enough energy to heat the equivalent of up to 5,500 showers for our guests,” explains Klaus Egger.
