After careful consideration, we decided to carry out an energetic reconstruction of our home. The first step was removing the concrete balconies and rebuilding them in timber. We also replaced all the windows, doors and window sills, renewed the roof with high-quality insulation, and insulated the external walls with a 10 cm layer of insulation.
The results of the renovation were remarkable: we achieved significant energy savings. Throughout the entire last winter, we only needed to use one radiator - in the bathroom - and even the wood-burning stove in the kitchen was used only minimally. During the summer, despite the high temperatures, our home remained pleasantly cool.
I can only recommend this type of renovation to everyone. It has truly been worthwhile, while at the same time making a positive contribution to protecting the environment.
