Markus Ainhauser about his organic farm

Markus tells us how he came to run the organic farm: “Regionality has always been very important to us, and since we didn’t want to simply lease out the large piece of land we own, we decided to use it as an area for keeping organic chickens.”
For Markus, it is essential that the chickens live a good and healthy life in order to ensure the highest quality. This is why it is so important that the animals always receive fresh feed. Markus is able to guarantee this by using a mobile chicken coop. As soon as the grass in one area has been grazed down, he moves the coop to a new spot. This allows the soil to regenerate continuously and ensures fresh grass for the chickens at all times.
At Noafhof, nothing is wasted and only what is actually consumed is produced and sold.

The funded project

“We financed everything through Ethical Banking. We started from zero and funded the new construction ourselves, but then we lacked the resources to purchase the mobile chicken coop and other machinery,” Markus Ainhauser tells us.

“We believe Ethical Banking is an excellent initiative and have already considered investing in this savings product ourselves.”
