Because the “Less Handicap” line provides development loans in an uncomplicated and targeted way. “Less Handicap” is, alongside public support and the efforts of non-profit organisations such as Lebenshilfe, an important building block in enabling people with disabilities to lead self-determined lives.

What do you hope for Ethical Banking in the future?

I hope that projects in the areas of social commitment, environmental protection and fair trade can continue to be actively supported and developed, just as they have been in the past.

How do you envision your bank in the future?

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals must become our guiding principles for all areas of society in the future. Banks are also called upon to align themselves with these goals. Ethical Banking demonstrates how this can be put into practice in a concrete way.

We often overlook that cooperation and solidarity have contributed more to social development and today’s prosperity than approaches based solely on competition and self-interest.
