Schwellhof. Rudi Stocker:

The Schwellhof is a livestock farm in Schluderns with 20 dairy cows and 20 young cattle. Around two years ago, we decided to convert to organic farming, and today we are very glad that we took this step. Demand for organic milk remains high, and many people from the village encouraged us to make the transition.
During the summer months, only the cows that are calving remain at the farm, while the others spend the season grazing on alpine pastures. This benefits everyone: the cows enjoy the mountain pastures, the alpine meadows continue to be maintained, and the workload in the barn is significantly reduced during the summer.
In 2011, we installed a photovoltaic system on the roof of our house. With its south-facing orientation, the roof provides ideal conditions for generating solar energy.
