Why did you choose Ethical Banking?

I have known this initiative since its beginning, as I worked for many years at the South Tyrolean aid organisation Bäuerlicher Notstandsfonds Menschen helfen, which was one of Ethical Banking’s first partners in developing its own savings and financing line.
Through my own experience, I know the value of many aid projects that I was able to support and accompany until recently. This financing line makes sustainable support possible after personal hardships, while respecting and preserving people’s dignity.
As a saver, I know exactly where my money has an impact and can contribute to helping people help themselves in our region of South Tyrol.

What do you hope for Ethical Banking in the future?

Given the daily reports of climate disasters and growing concerns about the future, it must be clear that responsible handling of money and investments must be the highest priority. This spirit of the times should provide strong momentum for Ethical Banking and help it move forward.
I wish Ethical Banking greater visibility and the power to convince even more people to choose ethical forms of saving. Roland Furgler brings great commitment to this project and manages it in a transparent, effective and efficient way. Keep up the great work!

How do you envision your bank in the future?

Personal contact and trust are of great importance to me. Knowing where my money has an impact is very important to me, and I believe that this will become even more important in the future.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I am delighted that the vision of former coordinator Helmut Bachmayer, together with the trust of the people responsible at Raiffeisenkasse Bozen, continues to live on, bears fruit and has become an integral part of South Tyrolean society.
