Thomas Zössmayr:

Thomas Zössmayr runs an organic vegetable farm in Ratschings. His vegetable garden is home to a wide variety of crops, including an exotic fruit originally from North America.
Organic farming has been one of Thomas’s priorities from the very beginning, as he believes that organic cultivation enhances the inner qualities and values of food. His vegetables are sold at the farmers’ market in Sterzing, while the farm also supplies hotels and restaurants.
Thomas has noticed that, fortunately, more and more people today prefer to buy locally and want to know where their food comes from.

The funded project

With financing from Ethical Banking, an electric vehicle was purchased for the delivery of the farm’s own products. This allows many delivery trips to be carried out with lower emissions and in a significantly more environmentally friendly way.
The electric vehicle fits perfectly with the farm’s sustainable approach and helps to further reduce its ecological footprint. At the same time, it enables reliable and efficient deliveries to customers throughout the region.

“For me, Ethical Banking means the opportunity to support people who produce regional products. It also provides the chance to promote local cycles and strengthen regional networks.”
