Jörgnerhof. Verena Angerer:

Jörgnerhof is located at 1,470 metres above sea level in Pfitsch and was first mentioned as an independent farm as early as 1793. Since then, it has remained in the ownership of the same family and therefore proudly bears the title of an “Erbhof” – a hereditary farm.
Today, the farm is run by Verena and her partner Alexander. Verena is a qualified agronomist, a certified meat sommelier and a researcher in the field of livestock science.
“We produce meat according to the standards of organic farming. The way our animals are raised and fed plays a key role in giving our products their distinctive flavour,” says Verena proudly.
For her, the focus is above all on animal welfare and species-appropriate husbandry, the preservation of exclusive Alpine breeds, complete transparency regarding the origin of the meat, regional value creation and local supply chains, as well as maintaining a natural and sustainable production process.

The funded project

“With the support of Ethical Banking financing, provided through Raiffeisenkasse Wipptal, we were able to establish our new farm shop and processing facility. These investments were essential in enabling us to launch our direct marketing activities in the first place.
For us, Ethical Banking means supporting local and sustainable projects on behalf of savers who care about how their money is used. We think it is fantastic that people from our region can support us through their investments and actively consider the impact and purpose of their savings,” conclude Verena and Alexander.
