Bespoke Shoemaker Martin-Carl Kinzner:

As a bespoke shoemaker, I create perfectly fitted, individually crafted shoes as well as other leather goods. Every pair of shoes, every handbag and every accessory is the result of a collaborative process between my customers and me.
Respect for craftsmanship, materials, people, animals and the finished product is at the heart of every stage of my work. Since October 2019, the doors of my workshop in the City Center Sterzing have been open, where I personally handcraft every unique piece.
Being able to do what I love fills me with great joy and enthusiasm. Everyone who shares this passion is warmly welcome.

The funded project

Thanks to the Ethical Banking financing provided through Raiffeisenkasse Wipptal, I was able to equip my workshop in a way that reflects both my craft and its traditions. The funding also made it possible to restore all of my machinery and purchase the tools I needed.
As sustainability, animal welfare, and the responsible use of environmental resources are extremely important to me, I use only leather from tanneries in Austria and southern Germany, sourced from animals that were raised in the Alpine region.
The Ethical Banking financing also gave me the opportunity to invest considerable time in researching and carefully selecting the materials and leather needed to build up my inventory.
