Aussermitterhof. Edmund Pörnbacher:

The Aussermitterhof is a livestock farm in Olang with dairy cows, young cattle, and horses. We supply our milk to the local dairy cooperative and converted to organic farming several years ago.
It was mainly our son who was determined to make the transition to organic farming. Today, we are very happy with that decision and fully convinced it was the right one.
Our dairy cows remain in the barn throughout the summer, where they have plenty of space to move around freely. The young cattle, on the other hand, spend the summer months grazing on alpine pastures at the Staller Sattel, where traditional alpine cheese is still produced.

  

The funded project

An Ethical Banking subsidized loan made it possible to build a new free-stall barn, providing the animals with plenty of space to move around and ensuring a high standard of animal welfare.
