The 2024 Agitu Gudeta Award goes to Verena Kapaurer from Linterhof in Ulten:

The third Agitu Ideo Gudeta Award was presented in Bozen ex aequo to Alexandra Zöggeler from Tschengls and Verena Kapaurer from St. Pankraz/Ultental. In 2016, Verena Kapaurer breathed new life into her grandparents’ abandoned Linterhof farm in St. Pankraz in Ulten. Today, she runs a dairy there with 37 Krainer Steinschafe sheep, a rare multi-purpose breed that provides meat, wool and milk. Together with her partner, she produces yoghurt, fresh cheese, blue cheese and semi-hard cheese, which are sold exclusively locally in restaurants, hotels and at the farmers’ market. Since December 2023, the farm has also offered catering and event services, and since autumn 2020 the farm kindergarten “die Hofzwerge” has brought new life to Linterhof.
