A visit to the Zingerlehof:

The historic Zingerlehof has a long tradition and was first mentioned in official records in 1428. Peter Faistnauer, a teacher and farmer at the Zingerlehof, runs an organic dairy farm as well as horse breeding and farm holidays.
When the holiday apartments were newly built, only natural materials were used. The furniture and floors, for example, are all made from larch and spruce wood.
At the Zingerlehof in the pilgrimage village of Maria Trens, great importance is also placed on achieving a positive energy balance. Since 2009, the farm has been energy self-sufficient thanks to a wood chip heating system, hot water modules and a photovoltaic system co-financed by Ethical Banking.
Ethical Banking supported the project with a 35,000€ development loan.

“Through my advisor at Raiffeisenkasse Wipptal, I was introduced to Ethical Banking. I have been interested in the topic of energy for many years, and thanks to the 35,000€ development loan, we were able to realise our photovoltaic investment in 2009,” says Peter Faistnauer.
