Presentation of the children's book "Das Ungurungu²"

During their childhood, Michael, Anna and Sophie discovered a strange little creature on a mountain pasture in South Tyrol: Ungurungu, a hairy, cuddly ball of wool with two small bare feet sticking out – almost like those of a child.
Now, many years later, the three return to the mountain pasture as adults. Their children Leon, Lara and Maja join them, having grown up with the stories about the mysterious Ungurungu. They immediately begin searching for the beloved creature. But they discover, to their horror, that the forest of their memories has been cut down. What happened to Ungurungu? Their search leads to an unexpected discovery and forces the family to come up with a rescue plan.
The great demand for and success of the first volume inspired Ivan Rech Daldosso to write a sequel. Once again, his daughter Maja contributed the illustrations. Raiffeisenkasse Bozen once again covered the printing costs. In addition, an Italian version of the first volume of Ungurungu is now available. Raiffeisen employee Sarah Auer translated the book voluntarily in her free time.
“The publication of the book and the donations collected for Peter Pan have far exceeded all expectations,” says children’s book author and initiator of the successful fundraising campaign Ivan Rech Daldosso. “I was particularly delighted by the many kind reactions, especially the direct and spontaneous comments from children. Time and again, people asked for a continuation of the story. Now the time has finally come.”
“We are firmly convinced that this time as well, the funds raised will achieve great benefits and create a meaningful impact. With the first volume, we were able to raise the incredible amount of €87,000 for the Peter Pan Children’s Cancer Support Association.”
“Because we had already spoken with the Ethical Banking Raiffeisen partner banks in advance and received great support, we were able to sell 1,700 books even before the first copies were delivered. Four Vitalpina hotels in South Tyrol have also joined the initiative!” explains Roland Furgler.
